At Gentleman's Sport Boxing Club, our unwavering vision is to empower at-risk youth through the noble art of boxing. We harness the transformative power of this sport to foster personal growth, academic success, and lifelong resilience. Our commitment includes providing comprehensive training, education, and membership opportunities that instill discipline, resilience, and integrity in the lives of young individuals.

Expanded Vision:

Empowerment through Boxing: We actively empower at-risk youth by offering rigorous boxing training that builds discipline, perseverance, and a strong work ethic.
Educational Support: Collaborating with local educational institutions, we provide academic support, tutoring, and mentorship programs to help our youth achieve academic success.
Community and Belonging: Membership signifies belonging to a supportive community where teamwork and sportsmanship are encouraged.
Future Leaders: We aim to produce not only skilled athletes but also compassionate leaders who positively impact their communities.

Bryant Gaffney is the President of Gentlemen’s Sport Boxing Club and a certified boxing coach since 2018. Raised in North Philadelphia, Bryant knows firsthand the challenges young people face—having once walked a path that could have led him astray, he made a pivotal turnaround that now fuels his passion for mentorship. As both a personal and group trainer, he is dedicated to using boxing as a tool not only for physical fitness but also for personal growth and positive change.

Bryant’s mission extends beyond the ring: he is committed to guiding and educating youth, helping them build discipline, confidence, and life skills. Through his leadership at Gentlemen’s Sport Boxing Club, he strives to inspire the next generation, offering them the support and guidance he once needed himself.


Ms. Jordan Reese has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Masters in Social Worker Degree from Temple University. Ms. Reese has worked with children and families in a variety of capacities including juvenile justice, child welfare, mental health and youth programming. Ms. Reese is a part of the National Leadership and Success Society. Ms. Reese was also recognized by Temple University School of Public Health in 2023 for educational and professional achievements. Ms. Reese seeks to connect individuals to community-based resources in efforts to create lasting change and empower individuals towards self-determination. 

John Thomas, a proud Philadelphia native, is the co-founder of Gentleman’s Sports Boxing, an urban nonprofit dedicated to uplifting youth in underserved communities. Holding a finance degree from Central State University, an HBCU, he leverages his financial expertise to build sustainable programs that drive lasting impact. With a deep passion for sports, especially boxing, he integrates lessons of discipline and resilience into the organization’s initiatives. Committed to shaping a brighter future for our youth, John works alongside his co-founders to provide mentorship, opportunities, and safe spaces for young people to thrive in our communities.
